Abigail R. Shaffer earned an MFA from Queens University of Charlotte. Her work has appeared in Crab Creek Review, SLAB Literary Journal and other journals. With roots going back seven generations in the Ozarks, she lived for several years in Arkansas. She also writes about food culture, teaches writing and resides in the Midwest. Children of the Country is her first novel, and she is currently working on her second novel.
